§ 102-190. Traffic prohibited.

  • (a)

    Traffic, including pedestrian traffic, is prohibited from the raised portion of the median situated in between the traveled lanes of Michigan Avenue, bordered on the east by the Huron River and on the west by Ballard Street.

    (b)

    No person shall walk upon, cross over, or stand on the raised portion of the median or any part of Michigan Avenue not designated as a cross walk.

    (c)

    This section does not apply to:

    a.

    Those employed by a municipal or state entity who are present on the median in the furtherance of their duties, or

    b.

    Observance of a parade, celebration, festival or similar activity during road closure by a permit issued by the highway authority pursuant MCLA 247.323

    (d)

    Violation of this section shall be a civil infraction. The fee for this violation shall be set by resolution of city council.
