§ 106-464. Billing.

  • (a)

    Charges for water and sewage disposal services furnished by the system shall be collected in six bimonthly periods, and bills shall be sent to each user within 30 days after the end of each bimonthly period, and shall be due and payable at the office of the YCUA ten days after the date of the bill.

    (b)

    The consumer shall be entitled to a discount for prompt payment as set by the YCUA board with the consent of the city council. Discount rates thus set shall continue until changed.

    (c)

    The consumer shall pay a late payment fee of 1½ percent of the total bill on any bill not paid by the specified due date, but paid before the end of the month in which payment is due, and an additional 1½ percent of the total bill for every additional month thereafter in which the bill is not paid in full, including any late payment fee(s) accrued to date of payment, up to a maximum late payment fee of double the initial total bill. This late payment fee shall apply to any YCUA bill, not limited to bi-monthly water and sewer bills.
