§ 10-287. Establishing special event boundary lines.

  • (a)

    The chief of police is authorized to establish an event boundary line for any event deemed by the chief of police to require a event boundary line for the public health, welfare, peace, and safety. In considering whether to authorize a event boundary line, the chief of police shall consider the expected attendance at the event; the size, shape, topography and location of the event; the time of year; expected weather conditions; available police resources; and any other relevant factors.

    (b)

    Any event boundary line established shall be clearly marked with event boundary signs at every entrance to the special event. Additional markers may be used in the discretion of the chief of police.

    (c)

    No event boundary line shall be maintained except for the period of the event.
