§ 2-251. Intent.

  • (a)

    The city has provided worker's compensation benefits for its employees for many years and has funded benefits in different ways in the past.

    (b)

    The city has determined to become self-insured for the purpose of worker's compensation and budget a sufficient fund for a number of years to create a self-sufficient fund to pay worker's compensation benefits, fees, costs and expenses.

    (c)

    The self-insured plan includes the need for a separate fund to accumulate funds, account for funds and pay worker's compensation fees, costs, expenses and benefits,
