§ 2-111. Applicability of section.

(a)

Members of boards and commissions shall be residents of the City of Ypsilanti. Residency is a condition for appointment and continuing in office.

(b)

Exceptions to this section shall only be permitted if it is determined by city council to be in the best interest of the city to appoint or continue a non-resident individual in office and such appointment requires a vote of five affirmative votes of city council.
